Today, Mr. Picketts took us downstairs to watch the roller coasters that the 12th graders made a few days ago. It was a very entertaining experience I should say. There were about seven roller coasters, I don't remember the exact number. They were all great, but I liked the jungle one the best. It didn't have a really elaborate background, but the roller coaster ride was the best. Of all of the rides, not one failed, they were all succesful. What really surprised me was the neatness and speed that the ball had when traveling through the game. Plus, they put several balls at the same time when starting a ride, whereas the other teams only inserted a single ball. This was my 12th grade roller coaster experience. Thank you Mr. Picketts!

Robotec Reflection :3
Today during computers class, we experienced something we have never experienced before. This guy called Abraham, from Tec de Monterrey in campus Guadalajara, came to visit the school and explained us the functions of robots. He taught us many things, but only a few really caught my attention, things that were new to me. I was totally surprised by the ultrasonic sensor that works like two eyes. This sensor locates things that are in front of the robot by using ultrasonic waves, just like bats. I was also really surprised by the sensor located at the bottom part of the robot. This sensor searches for certain colors or specific ground conditions. You can tell the robot how to move or what to do when the sensor steps over a certain ground condition. For example, Abraham showed us how his mini robot stopped at the white color, turned around, and walked through black and gray colors. It was a really cool experience, and I hope we can see something similar in the future. I wanted to go to the actual robot battle here at the school, but unfortunately, I have to go to the city of Monterrey to visit my brother and go see a concert of a music group called Panda.

THIS IS ME! :D
My name is Rodrigo, I was born in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I have been here for my entire life, I've been to the United States, but just for vacations. I want to visit Bangkok one day, and I hope you visit Mexico one day, come visit Puerto Vallarta if you can! My house is in front of a movie theater called "Cinepolis". It was actually the best movie theater in town back in the day, but it's old nowadays, the newest and most convinient one is called "MMCinemas" and it is located at the "Galerias Vallarta" mall.
Now I will talk more about myself. I love skateboarding, it is my greatest passion at the moment, playing guitar is also my greatest passion, I love them both equally. I go skating every weekend, I never miss a single skating session, it's just great to skate with my friends, I love them so much, I wouldn't change them for anything in the world. I don't know if you really know about this stuff, but I'll tell you what skateboarding brands I use. I use Element decks, Thunder trucks, Pig wheels, Pig bearings, Pig griptape, Pig risers, and Destructo hardware. I use DC shoes to ride my skateboard.
I spent my kindergarden education at the "ISPAC" school, and my elementary school at the "British American School", I just changed to the "American School of Puerto Vallarta" for my first year of Junior High, although I'm in second grade now. My name is Rodrigo, but I like to be called Rod, I have lots of best friends, I love them all, and they love me, it's a loving and caring cycle. I just participated at the talent show of the year on November 26th and I got first place. I was really surprised about that, I'm really happy, I played a song called "Sofa song" by "The Kooks" I hope you get a chance to listen to it. Tell your teachers to play it for you during class! That would be a great idea.
I got to go now, I hope I hear great things from you, I'm looking forward to it, take care.
Rod

Listening
In Mr. Picketts class today, we heard other people's assignments by using Audacity and Movie Maker for about 2 minutes per computer. I didn't had a sound that I used the most, I changed every sound like every 12 seconds, I think I was creative. Other people used clapping a lot, it was something popular. I couldn't do the crab scratch, I really tried to, I even tried using "hand help" to beat box it like Felix Zenger, but I'm just unable to do it. It is a professional beat box sound, and I don't there's even one unprofessional person that knows how to do that sound.

Audacity Project
We just made an Audacity song project with Mr. Picketts, it was really fun. I got my ideas of beat boxing throughout the entire song thanks to Felix Zenger, a famous beat boxer in the United States. He inspired me to do my project this way, and I really admire him. It was a little doing the whole project, since it’s kind of hard to get that many sounds, but I was able to overcome my obstacle. I learned LOTS of things during the process of this project. Now I know how to export an audacity project to MP3 and I generally know how to use Audacity, I didn’t even know how to record something at first. I think that my project was really creative, I am really confident about my final result and I hope everyone likes it. If I needed to describe all of this in one word it would be entertaining.

I really enjoyed listening and paying attention to other Audacity projects. They really cool and I think everybody did a great job. I enjoyed Sofia's mash-up the best, it had this techno rhythm combined with a pop beat. It was a really cool mix, and I'm looking forward to hear to other of Sofia's mixes. My team did a great job, and so did I. I used Halloween sounds only, but I put effort into it.
I hope I can work with Audacity again on the future.

Typing Reflection
I really notice my improvement in my typing skills. I was always a fast typer, but at the beginning of the year I had 46-50 Gross Speed and 43-49 Net Speed. Now, I score 50-54 Gross Speed and 50-52 Net Speed. That is a really good improvement for such a short amount of time. By the end of the year, I want to score at least 60 wpm in Gross Speed with at least 90-95% of accuracy. That way I will be a really fast typer and I will surpass my past posts easily. When I'm in college, although I don't know if it's possible, I want to score 62-65 wpm in Gross Speed and 90-95% accuracy. My improvement in my typing skills is really noticeable and I'm loving it.

Future Artifact
(Paragraph 1) I really liked the machine I used as my artifact. What I didn't like was that I could not do it that pretty. I tried some ways to make it look better, but I guess I'm not that much of an artist. I learned a lot during this proyect, well I already knew how to paste images to an already existing image in photoshop, but I did not know how to paste arrows in top of images using Microsoft Word. I did put effort into my project. I would love to have this dog-breed mixer machine. If I had this machine, I would combine two Huskies, because I love the Husky dogs, they are just so cute. This machine would make thousands of people lifes a lot easier. There are times in which people can never mate their dogs with other dogs because it's just so hard to find the perfect dog. Sometimes they might find a good dog, but they can never find the perfect one. With this machine, you can get the perfect dog by just choosing it and clicking on the check button, it's that simple. I wish this machine can be possible in the future.

(Paragraph 2) I liked your project very much. I think you did a good job on the little white things that attach to your head to create electrical currents with your brain. I think you could have added little cables to them so you could attach them to the machine, that would look pretty realistic. You could also add a sentence above her head or something that says what she is dreaming, so everyone gets an idea of what it does, because someone might not get it. Other than that, you did a pretty good job on the image you picked and the placing of the head patches, it's really good.
(Paragraph 3) Your artifact is really interesting, that is the reason I chose it. I don't really know if it could exist in the future, because your brain develops the dream images, but I don't think those images could be copied into a machine. Although, I would love to have an artifact that saves your dreams, and that also stores it in its memory so you can watch them whenever you go to sleep. Its function really is just to entertain, or maybe to remember something, you could use it to know what babies dream about, since you could go back to your baby dreams and watch them. I do think it would be expensive, I don't think that building a dream-saver machine could be anywhere near the cheap classification. I really think your artifact would be really useful and fun, I hope it exists in the future.

Artifact From The Future
This product is from the future
because it doesn't exist right now,
and maybe it will exist later on time,
in other words, it is from the future.
I liked this artifact because sometimes
you can have a hard time picking a baby
dog, and this seems like the right way
to go during hard times finding a puppy.
This artifact is a machine that lets you
pick two dog breeds and combine them
to form one dog. It's kind of a soda
machine, but it has nothing to do
with a soda machine. You can pick
out any two breeds in the world, from a
chihuahua combined with another chihuahua,
to a chihuahua combined with a pug.
This is a really cool machine. You just
pick your breeds, pay, and pick up your dog
at the bottom part of the artifact.

(Business) I think that all of the technological advances that are occurring today in our world, are going to notoriously affect the business world. This changes could lead to a better economy or a worst economy, it all depends in how you want to see it.
In my opinion, the business world is going to be better during the technological changes that are going to occur in the process of my life. This is because computers and all of those things are going to make communication and business deals easier, and sometimes faster and cheaper.
If the economy didn't get any better, and it went wrong, this is what I think would happen. Computers are a great system for people to hack and cheat, talking about business of course. So this people that hack systems could go into selling companies, this would be hard, but they could. They would try to sell you things at a higher price or do something to your deal.
This was my opinion on technological changes for the business world.

There are some things you can do to improve the class behavior. You could restrict the use of social pages to the group, but you already did that. You shouldn´t block the websites, since that would be a drastic resource and nobody really wants to do that. Maybe you could talk to those people who you think are misbehaving. People that don't behave theirselves could have a meeting with their parents and Salgado. This would really make them behave. As you mentioned in class, people that are talking could work without a computer. Also, the new grading system you made is efficient. Or maybe, this people should just learn to behave by theirselves, they're not adults, but they're mature enough to control theirselves in class. If people could just learn to behave we wouldn't even have to mention this forms to get them to behave. We all want a free, comfortable space to learn about how to use a computer and its functions. Let's make it true by improving now, and later gaining things for the future.
(Real) I remember this story mainly because it happened last year, but it is also a great memory I have. Last christmas, all of my family gathered together in my aunt's house, which is really big. We played guitar hero 2 and exchanged gifts. After a great dinner, my cousins and I went to a nearby store to buy some small fireworks to entertain ourselves. We lit all of them separately and watched with enthusiasm the light shower. After the party, we all went home and slept. It was a really great night.

About blogger (:
About blogging: I know that blogs are used to share pictures, to contact friends, and to share personal information. I also know that you can upload videos and post links to pages in your blog.
Blog uses: I expect to use this blog mostly for school. Although I might use it for other purposes like friend information or maybe just for entertainment.
How I created a blog: First I got to www.blogger.com and clicked on "Create new blog". I filled in some personal information and chose my own design for my blog. I clicked on "Save blog", and that was it, the only thing you need to do next is enjoy!
How I solved my bloglist: I got most of the blogs on facebook, but I also talked to Mahonry and Raul who sit next to me to add the blogs I was missing and that were not posted on facebook.
