12th Grade Roller Coaster Review

Today, Mr. Picketts took us downstairs to watch the roller coasters that the 12th graders made a few days ago. It was a very entertaining experience I should say. There were about seven roller coasters, I don't remember the exact number. They were all great, but I liked the jungle one the best. It didn't have a really elaborate background, but the roller coaster ride was the best. Of all of the rides, not one failed, they were all succesful. What really surprised me was the neatness and speed that the ball had when traveling through the game. Plus, they put several balls at the same time when starting a ride, whereas the other teams only inserted a single ball. This was my 12th grade roller coaster experience. Thank you Mr. Picketts!

Robotec Reflection :3

Today during computers class, we experienced something we have never experienced before. This guy called Abraham, from Tec de Monterrey in campus Guadalajara, came to visit the school and explained us the functions of robots. He taught us many things, but only a few really caught my attention, things that were new to me. I was totally surprised by the ultrasonic sensor that works like two eyes. This sensor locates things that are in front of the robot by using ultrasonic waves, just like bats. I was also really surprised by the sensor located at the bottom part of the robot. This sensor searches for certain colors or specific ground conditions. You can tell the robot how to move or what to do when the sensor steps over a certain ground condition. For example, Abraham showed us how his mini robot stopped at the white color, turned around, and walked through black and gray colors. It was a really cool experience, and I hope we can see something similar in the future. I wanted to go to the actual robot battle here at the school, but unfortunately, I have to go to the city of Monterrey to visit my brother and go see a concert of a music group called Panda.
